A sprinter and rising athletic star
“You’re too fast for football, you’re a sprinter” were the words spoken to Adeline when she was 14 years old.
Now 17, Adeline is currently Ivory Coast’s 100 meter, 200 meter and 400 meter champion. She has the medals to prove it.
Adeline travels to the stadium in the video to train with her coach, whom she interviews. He wants to be responsible for getting a star to the Olympics.
Gabriel Tiacoh (February 9, 1963 – April 2, 1992) won the 400 meters in 1984. This sprinter is the holder of Ivory Coast's sole Olympic medal thus far.
Adeline isn’t in it for second or third place. She wants to win Gold. She wants to hold the medal high and wave it in the air at the Olympics – this is her dream.
