Videos on this website have been made with the help of youngsters living in and around SOS Children’s Villages, to create this evolving ‘Our Africa’ educational resource. On this page, we present short films the children have produced by themselves. The children choose their own subjects, which reveal something of their lives, opinions and ideas. This is Africa through their eyes.

Against all odds
In this first video, Albano tells us his true life story, about how he became an orphan and ended up on the streets. It's a truly harrowing tale. Thankfully, his story has a happy ending, because he found a loving home with his new brothers and sisters at the SOS Village in Tete.
