Videos in this website have been put together by children living in and around SOS Children’s Villages. They’ve captured their thoughts, opinions and ideas to present a new perspective on Africa through their own eyes. The result is this evolving ‘Our Africa’ educational resource.
SOS Children has been working in Sudan since 1978. There is currently one Children’s Village in Sudan on the outskirts of Khartoum. (There is also a village in South Sudan, which became an independent country on the 9th July 2011). Find out more about SOS Children in Sudan.
Apart from making videos for this resource, each group of young people has made its own short film (sometimes more than one) on subjects that matter to them. This is what the children came up with:

Be careful when the rain comes
This story is all about the buying of a house. A landlord takes a man’s money and sells him a house in perfect condition. The next day the rains come and the house falls apart. Does the man get his money back? Find out what happens.
