Around the campfire

Louis-Marie was a scout for two years. He now joins his old scout group and sees what the youngsters are up to.

They’ve been making a special scout hut from local materials. Their scout leader, Germain Houedenou, explains why the hut is shaped like a church.

Then, Louis-Marie joins in the scout’s ceremony around the campfire. Despite the years which have elapsed since he was a young scout, Louis-Marie hasn’t forgotten the chants and dance movements.

Watch as he leads the youngsters in song and speaks fondly about his scout leader.
