Travelling in style
Zoodes takes a trip to a train station at Windhoek, where old engines are displayed outside.
Waiting at the station is a new train bought from China. Zoodes is clearly impressed. The only trains he’s travelled on in Namibia didn’t have seats.
The barman explains this train isn’t for ‘ordinary passengers’, but for tourists. Certainly, the stylish luxury of the carriages would be unaffordable for most Namibians.
But Zoodes, like other youngsters, has his dreams. With a good education, who knows what success may lie in store for him? Maybe he'll travel on this train one day.
